Fashion Recap: Grammy Awards 2015

Last night was the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. Did you get a chance to watch? I will be honest, I halfway watched it this year. I'm waiting for award shows to be exciting again. I usually tune in for the fashion and performances, but a lot of the performances put me to sleep (lol). But let's get into what you came here for... the fashion recap!

Best Dressed:

My pick for best dressed at the Grammys last night is Taylor Swift. Taylor pulled a fast one and wowed on the red carpet in this teal Elie Saab gown with fuchsia Giuseppe Zanotti heels. I love the color combo and her hair works with the look. The cut in the front of the dress makes it sexy. She definitely picked the perfect gown for the night. Get a similar look below:

Worst Dressed:

I'm sorry Rihanna, but this isn't it. We love her for her fashion risks and effortless style. Usually she makes anything look good, largely due to her amazing figure, but last night it was unfortunately hidden under this large mass of a pink Giambattista Valli dress. Many compared it to a pink loofa used in the shower, I was just shocked that she was actually in love with the dress. I don't know what I dislike more - the high waistline or the texture of the over-sized lower half. Either way, this was definitely my least favorite RiRi look. The Grammys is a great place to be daring and have some fun, so if she wanted to stand out, she definitely accomplished that.

Couple Style:

Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West made a splash at the show last night. Kim's intricate gold gown (that looked like a gold sequined robe) stood out next to Kanye's Balmain black suit.

Big Sean and Ariana Grande finally appeared in public together on the red carpet. Ariana wore a white Versace gown with a cutout and slit with white pumps and her signature high pony tail, while Big Sean kept it simple in a black suit and bowtie.

I loved Chrissy Tiegen and John Legend's looks. Chrissy wore a white gown with cutouts that was one of my favorites, while John wore a gray suit. My pick for best dressed couple.

For white cutout gowns like Chrissy and Ariana, try these options:

Pharrell Williams and his wife kept it unusually stylish, with Pharrell in a suit with shorts and his wife in an Adidas jumpsuit. Always just a little different.

Ne-yo looked dapper in an olive green suit. I'm digging the color. He brought a date with him, in a shiny black gown.  Guys, get his look below:

Trend Spotting - Black Dresses:

There was a lot of black on the red carpet last night, let's take a look at some we saw:

Beyonce:

Not my favorite Beyonce look, but she had a great performance and won a few awards.

Nicki Minaj:

Ciara (looking fab):

Miley Cyrus:

Thumbs down on this one Miley.

Gwen Stefani:

I'm feeling the jumpsuit.

Ashanti:

Jessie J:

More red carpet highlights:

Loved Jhene's soft nude gown.

Here is Iggy Azalea in a blue dress. Wasn't really a fan of this look, especially the hair.

Katy Perry kept it sparkly in this sheer dress.

Chris Brown made an appearance as well. I'm excited for his upcoming tour... hopefully he can get these tour dates together.

Lady Gaga looked normal on the red carpet, and I liked it. She should stick with this.

I loved Zendaya's look but I would have went with a different shoe. I think she is so gorg! Loving the short hair as well.

Lastly, Grammy host LL Cool J wore black and blue and his signature hat. I think he did a good job as host.

What are your thoughts on the Grammy Awards last night? What were your favorite looks?
