Did you get a chance to watch the 70th Annual Golden Globes last night? Good show, and as always, great fashion! So what were some of the biggest red carpet trends? According to what I witnessed, definitely a lot of nude and white dresses with beaded and lace details! Also saw a handful of ladies who wanted to match the red carpet itself, a lot of black dresses, the mermaid shape, some pastels and a few ladies trying some daring prints.

Let's recap some of the highlights from the red carpet as well as give you some shopping ideas for your next formal event!

The biggest trend of the night was the all of the nude and white gowns on the red carpet. Many seemed to want to have an angelic and soft presence last night.

Heidi Klum and Lea Michele went for white dresses with high slits. Love Heidi's one shoulder detail and Lea's beaded texture.

New mom Megan Fox looked gorgeous in a nude lacy Dolce & Gabbana gown. Amanda Seyfried also wore a nude lacy gown.

Anne Hathaway wore a white Chanel gown and Julianna Hough wore a beaded Monique Lhuillier gown. Get the look with these picks for less:

Going against the lighter trend, a few ladies went dark in black dresses, which was another big trend:

Eva Longoria looked lovely and showed a lot of leg in an Emilio Pucci gown featuring lace detail. Sofia Vergara wore a strapless embellished gown.

Kate Hudson and Nicole Kidman both wore Alexander McQueen.

New mom Adele wore Burberry and Sara Hyland wore a belted gown. Check out these black dresses we found:

Both Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Richie went for a similar concept with their dresses. Both wore sheer flesh tone dresses with embellishments all over. Jennifer Lopez's dress, by Zuhair Murad, featured lace details and a body-hugging shape. Nicole Richie's dress, by Naeem Khan, featured a blue color embellishment throughout.

Everyone still loves the mermaid tail trend. The shape it creates is sexy, and we saw quite a few gowns with it. Let's take a look:

Jessica Alba looked gorgeous in a pale coral strapless gown. Definitely a winner. Taylor Swift, in Donna Karan, wore an eggplant backless gown.

Hayden Panettiere, in Roberto Cavalli, wore a cream embellished strapless gown. Amy Adams wore a blush pink strapless Marchesa gown. All ladies looked great in their mermaid gowns! Check out these gowns we found to get the look:

Halle Berry dared to be different in a printed gown with a high slit and cutout showing some skin. Did it work for her? Lucy Liu also tried a bold print with a floral gown.

Quite a few ladies wanted to blend in with the red carpet itself. Let's take a look at these shades of red gowns:

Jennifer Lawrence, in Dior Couture, and Zooey Deschanel, in Oscar de la Renta, both wore shades of bright coral with these strapless, full gowns.

Jennifer Garner and Naomi Watts went for deeper hues of burgundy. Below are a range of red and coral dresses for your next event:

Lastly, we saw a bit of pastel gowns on the red carpet, which was popular on the spring runway collections:

Kelly Osbourne and Rosario Dawson both tried the trend in structured gowns. Kelly wore a mint strapless gown with a mermaid tail detail. Rosario wore a pastel teal gown that also incorporated the popular peplum trend.
