Fashion Recap: Fashion's Night Out in Indianapolis

Last night, I (Whit W) got the chance to participate in Fashion's Night Out in my city Indianapolis. This year Indy officially endorsed the event, thanks to the efforts of fashion networking group Pattern. I did live coverage in the social media lounge/Artsgarden all night (hosted by Jeremiah Williams of Social Club 19) - if you followed me or the Get WHIT It Instagram pages (@whitwhit317 or @getwhitit_instastyle), you probably saw photos from the night. I had a great time watching all the fashion showcases, snapping pics, seeing new faces and catching up with local bloggers. The night was a success, and here are a few pictures that I captured from my experience:

Upon arrival at the Artsgarden, I checked out the scene. Many fashionable individuals came out for the evening:

I got the chance to catch up with a few local bloggers:

With Adrian from AK's World

With Allie from Allie's Bubble and Ashley from Hem & Her

With Nicole from Notable Styles and More

With Madison from Preppy Guide to Life

A few local design houses showed off pieces from their collections. I snapped a few pics from a few showcases:

Here is a closer shot of the dresses (I loved the beaded detail on the green gown):

Also a few indie designers and web-based retailers presented their items. There were two I got a chance to check out that I think you will love - one was even generous enough to offer an item to give away (more details on that later)!

BlumLux Watches

Designer Nick Blum showed off his brand BlumLux, which sells designer watches and jewelry. I was drawn to the unique square shape of the watches, which Nick said was his signature style. He will have a women's line of watches coming soon.

No Bad Ideas is a street-inspired headwear brand founded by Andrew Moss, and they have a nice assortment of styles. I had my eye on one in particular (a snap back), and the guys from No Bad Ideas let me have it to give away! Only hint... It's in one of the pictures, but you will have to wait to find out which one. We'll give it away soon to a lucky reader!

Well, that's all for now. I had a great time and looking forward to next year's FNO festivities. I hope it will be bigger and better! Special thanks to Pattern and Social Club 19 for hosting the event!
