How to use:

Whit W:

Using them: I usually wear my hair straight, but love the curly look. I just never want to take the time to curl my hair with a curling iron. When I found out CurlFormers could give me the ringlets I wanted without using heat, I knew I had to try it.

I used the short and wide Curlformers kit for my shoulder-length hair. It takes some time to put them all in, but once you get some practice it goes quicker. I went thru my normal routine of shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, and some coconut oil before sectioning off my hair. While still damp, I added a little Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel (love this product and it leaves your hair smelling great) before smoothing the hair by combing (this is important to do) and putting each Curlformer on. After finished with my whole head, I went to bed and let it dry overnight. In the morning I took them all out and finger combed my hair to give it a natural look. Unless I have a fresh relaxer in my hair, my roots generally are a little frizzy and require heat to be straight. A simple solution for that is to use a tiny flat iron on the roots in the front. I finished off with a little oil sheen spray (use a little hair spray if you want extra hold, but the curls last all day). Loved the results!

Pros: I pretty much love it! I've been wearing my hair curly for the past 3 weeks and it has been amazing being able to give my flat iron a rest. I can easily touch up a few curls over night by adding some Curlformers back in. I'm also able to come up with creative and cute updos for later in the week when the curls get old. I've been getting a lot of compliments on my curly hair so I may keep the style around :).

Cons: Sleeping on them overnight - this was the only downside as it was uncomfortable! It is probably the best way to do it if you want to achieve the look overnight and allow proper drying time. If you want it for a night look, I would suggest doing it in the morning and letting it dry throughout the day (hopefully you are staying indoors) and take them out in the evening. Allow at least 5-7 hours to dry completely.

Overall this product is worth it!

Using them: My hair is naturally curly. I usually say I'm "blessed" with both worlds when it comes to my hair because I have some really tight curls and then some of my hair is just wavy. With that being said, sometimes I want to have the perfect curl. I spotted Curlformers in Sally's Beauty Supply and immediately wanted them. My God-Sister's baby shower was coming up so I thought that would be a great time to try them out.

My hair is pretty long… probably to the middle of back so I had my mom assist me. As Whit W did, I went through the normal process of shampooing and conditioning. After this process, the only thing I applied to my hair was some heat protectant. Normally, I would add some type of gel or cream but I wanted to test them out natural. The process took about 45 minutes to an hour to finish my whole head. As you see in the video above, there are some tips and tricks to make the process easier. I only had about 45 minutes that I could leave them in so I sat under my "Purple People Heater" hair dryer. After gently removing them, a few were still damp but they still looked great. I ran my fingers through them to help break them up and make them a little messy. I probably could have added some hair spray but with the temperature at an all time high that day, I ended up sweating them out. I did receive compliments at the baby shower which was a great feeling.

Pros: I really love everything about the Curlformers. The results are fantastic. I love the fact that they will work on any type of hair. I haven't gotten to curl my hair again but I'm going to Atlanta for my birthday so, since they came in a handy travel case, I may take them for a sexy curly style.

Cons: ::: in deep thought ::: None!
