Whit Picks: May

After the feedback we received last month, we noticed one of the things you wanted to see more of was our personal style in addition to covering celebrity style. We wanted to introduce a new section that we will call Whit Picks - where every month we will share with you something new we got recently and also a trend or item we want this month. We will also share links to other favorites for the month and occasionally any special sales we know of or discount codes for you to save!

It's May, almost time for summer -- by the way Get WHIT It turns 4 later this month! Let's start with our recent purchases:

Whit W: I love maxi dresses (they are so easy to wear) and have been on the hunt for a few new ones for my upcoming trip to Maui. I went looking for some inexpensive options at Forever 21 and saw this cute Floral Surplice Maxi Dress for only $24.80:

I always seem to be drawn to prints and I love the splits on the sides of the dress. I will definitely pack it to wear on the island.

Whit R: So, anyone who knows me knows that I am a bargain shopper! I'm all about cute and comfortable style. Surprisingly, Target has a lot of cute things for the Spring/Summer. On my most recent visit, I picked up this Hi Lo hem Dress for only $24.99.

Even though it's going to be hot, I decided to get the dress in black. It does come in jade (shown above) and coral. Black was the best choice for me because I can pretty much wear any color sandal or wedge that I want. I'm going to the Bahamas at the end of the month so this is something that I will most likely throw in to my vacation wardrobe. They had a variety of other cute pieces which aren't featured online so check in stores!

For those bargain shoppers like myself, if you check out the coupon section on Target.com, you can print a $3 off a Mossimo apparel item or Buy one Get one 50% off jewelry or accessory item!

Whit W: I stumbled upon the site Sole Society and was drawn to their amazing selection of quality-made shoes. I found this pair and fell in love with the style and color:

The price: only $49.99 - which is the price of ALL the shoes on Sole Society. Sign up today for a free account and there is no monthly charge, simply buy shoes when you find something you want. Every month they will find your "sole mates" and update your online closet with a new selection of shoes based on your personal style.

Whit R: The more and more I see these wedge sneakers, the more they are starting to grow on me. Right now, my most wanted item would be these Ash Wedge Sneakers.

I'm not really feeling the price of $235 so most likely I will settle for THESE which are less but if I decide I really want a quality pair, I may invest. I've always been a fan of sneakers. I was one of those people who would always grab the latest J's but I've drifted out of that. These would be great for my cute/casual style with some denim shorts and a tank.
