Requested Look: Rihanna's Cut Out White Dress

We got a request from a Get WHIT It visitor about a dress Rihanna wore:

"Hi! My name is Nicole. I was online and currently saw Rihanna in a very beautiful white dress. She was on the cover of Cleo Magazine (Australia). Is there any way you guys could get the info on that dress....?"

Well Nicole, the images of Rihanna in that dress were first spotted in the photoshoot from the December 2011 issue of Marie Claire UK. She was wearing a Mark Fast dress from the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.

Julissa's Party Look in NYC

One of our favorite fashionistas, tv personality/actress Julissa Bermudez, attended a few events in NYC last night and looked amazing her white hot look. She was spotted at the OK! The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2011 kicked off over the weekend, and many people came out to enjoy the festivities. A few celebs were spotted catching a few shows. Yesterday we received a request from a visitor from The Netherlands asking about a jacket Terrence J wore on 106 & Park recently. NMG asked,

Singer/actress Ashley Tisdale visited the MuchMusic headquarters in Canada yesterday to promote her new film “Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure”. She wore a pair of high waist flare pants with a cropped top. Should we Get WHIT It or should she Get Lost? Here’s my (Whitney R) thoughts… I think it’s a cute/sexy look but it won’t work on everyone. She has the slender body which makes it work. If you’ve got hips, forget about it! It’s not going to work. So if you're tall and skinny, I say go for it. Ladies with the curves, like myself, lets pass on this look.

Requested Look: Dev's "Backseat" Video Dress

The New Boyz latest video for "Backseat" features The Cataracs and singer Dev. Our friend Bianca (@HollywdzgirlB) made a request via twitter:

"OMG I gotta have that dress @DEVisHot is rocking in the backseat vid..who knows the designer?"

Well Bianca, we found out the dress is an Iron by Sheri Bodell Ombre sequin dress. The shimmery dress with shoulder pads features a stunning full bodied silhouette of sequins in a black, gold and sequin ombre pattern. Kelly Rowland's new video for her latest single, "Motivation" featuring Lil Wayne, premiered this week. One of our visitors Nyla wanted to know about the monokini Kelly was wearing in the clip:

Whitney Port's Distressed & Leather Look

Whitney Port hit the streets with a new look. She switched up her blonde for a new spring strawberry blonde look. I don't know about the rest of you but I love the new color. I think it brings out her skin tone. Nice move Whit! Anyone else thinking of changing their hair color for the spring/summer? I (Whitney R) am so tempted to go red! What do you guys think? I have a hair appointment this Friday so give me your feedback.

Cassie's Shopping Look in LA

Cassie did a little weekend shopping in Los Angeles with Diddy's mom Janice Combs. Cassie kept her look mostly casual with a striped top and Current/Elliott "The Engine Legging" Jeans ($218) featuring a zipper at the ankle. In the April/May issue of VIBE magazine, singer/actress Teyana Taylor did an ethnic tribal themed photo shoot featuring African-, Lebanese-, and Indian-inspired prints. I love how they chose to mix patterns and add statement necklaces and large bangles. In the article, Teyana talks about her personal style:

"I roll with the flow, nothing too crazy, don't over-think anything. I like Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, a little bit of everything. Kim Kardashian attended the Victoria's Secret 2011 Swim collection launch party last week in Hollywood. Get WHIT It visitor Lauren loved Kim's black dress and asked us to find a cheaper version. Well, Lauren you are in luck because we found many options for you - most of them under $100!

Requested Look: Rihanna's Rolling Stone Cover Shorts

We got a twitter request from Kerrah (@Sin_Sation) to find similar shorts like the ones Rihanna wore on her new Rolling Stone magazine cover. Stylist for the shoot, B. Akerlund, commissioned the barely-there shorts from designer Michael Schmidt. Together they came up with the idea of photo digitizing on top of metal mesh, and the end result were these torn metallic shorts with a Levi's logo on the back, cut out sides and lace-up detail.

In an article on RollingStone.com, the stylist discussed creating the "hottest short on the planet":

The stylist and the singer didn't have a chance to meet before the photo shoot, so Akerlund knew she was taking a chance with the shorts' fit. "I was just looking at the pictures online of like, her bum," she says, laughing. "I was just trying to figure out how she liked her shorts, and how they would end and cut."

The stakes were even higher because the shorts – which took a week to make – couldn't be altered after they were finished, because of the fine detailing along the ripped hem. "I just kept on saying, go shorter, go shorter," she says. "I knew we couldn't go much shorter, but I think the end result was just right."

We received a request from Keona to find Rocsi Diaz's look from 106 & Park last week on a freestyle Friday episode. Rocsi wore a nude blazer and cowl neck top with green Rag & Bone jeans and Fever shoes.

Keri Hilson's Beautiful People Event Look

Keri Hilson made an appearance at the Paper Magazine and Guess Beautiful People event. She wore a leopard print jacket by Guess... and then... paired it with some acid wash/faded denim, thigh high boots, leotard, bralette (or maybe just her bra?), and a bright red belt to match her lipstick.

I guess the real question with this look is... should we Get WHIT It or should she Get Lost? I must say I'm loving the new hair. It's a different look for her and a lot of celebs seem to be rockin the wavy look. It's almost like a headshot is perfect but the full body is a mess. Do you agree?
