Spring season is in full swing, so that means its time to update your shoes to welcome the warmer weather. Earlier we gave you all the spring essentials you need, but this time around we want to show you some of the hottest designer shoes of the season and their less expensive versions. Here are some of our picks:

Up first is a nude pump by Alejandro Ingelmo. This platform, the "Sophie" is priced at $450. Bakers has a similar pump that is only $79.95. I would definitely recommend the shoes from Bakers, I have them in black suede (they come in more cute colors also) - very comfortable and cute!

This studded sandal from Giuseppe is very cute and perfect for showing off this spring. The price is $790, but you can save with GUESS's version, only $109.95. It's a great option if you like the studded straps look.

I love this lace up sandal with cork heel by Derek Lam. But if $790 is too much to pay for you (it's definitely too much for me), try this equally cute wedge version by Bebe. It's $149, a lot more affordable.

2010 Kids' Choice Awards: Rihanna's Dior Dress

The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards aired on Saturday and Rihanna, who performed at the show, wore a straight from the runway look from Dior's Spring 2010 Collection. Winning Oscar Looks

The Academy Awards were last night, so that means its time to pick out some of the night's best dressed. Here are some of our top picks:

Jennifer Lopez wore this tiered Armani Prive dress. Not too sure about the messy hair (that Sarah Jessica Parker also wore) but the dress is definitely a show-stopper.

Going along with the "bigger is better" dress trend was actress Amanda Seyfried, also in Armani Prive. 

Zoe Saldana wore this purple Givenchy gown. It's definitely a risk with the slit, frilly bottom and sparkling bodice all in one dress - but Zoe pulled it off and looked great.

I (Whitney W) recently visited NYC again - one of my favorite cities. One special part of my trip I would like to share with you is my trip to the Fred Flare store (my second time visiting). I have always loved the cute and funny novelty items they sell, so I had to make sure I made a trip to their store again this time. I came on a great day: they had secret message cards hidden around the store with percentages off of purchases. I got lucky and found some so they wanted to take my picture. I also met 2 of the ladies that work there - they were very nice. I told them about the blog and they ended up mentioning it on their site along with posting my picture!
